Blender Food Processer

Cookery novice here! What is the difference between a food processer, a blender and a hand blender?

Are they all different products? and also can they do the same things...

A food processor is a product that slices or shreds veggies, cheese, etc. If you're making huge amounts of food, nice. Otherwise, they're a waste of money and a pain to clean. If you are cooking for the typical family, you can slice/shred your own food by hand. A blender looks like a cylinder, and is used to blend food. It purees food, and mixes them very well. It's great for making things like fruit smoothies, deviled eggs, tomato sauce, etc. Chunky foods that have to very fine and smooth. A hand blender is a mixer that you use for mixing cake batter, choc. chip cookies, etc. It has two whips that attach to the hand held machine. These pop out easily for cleaning. You could substitute something like a Kitchen Aid if you are mixing really thick dough, or larger quantities.
