Blender Smoothy Maker

Blender Smoothy Maker

whats the differnce between,,?

a juice maker ( smoothy maker) and a blender.?

is it just the packaging , i mean they both chop the fruit... dont they???

I have both a blender and a juicer at home.

With my blender, everything in there just gets chopped up really fine. It's good if you want to blitz up juice with ice or if you want to make a smoothie, because you get everything in there.

My juicer, on the other hand, just gives me juice. I drop the fruit in and it is basically grated down, with the juice running through into one section and the pulp etc into the other, giving a basically smooth, bit-free drink - ideal if you want to drink it alone. The pulp is a big mush, that my rabbits love to eat. ;)

The juicer is best if it's used with 'hard' fruits that will leave a lot of pulp behind, such as apples, citrus fruits and so on. Softer fruits, like mangoes, peaches, nectarines and bananas can easily be turned into juice in a blender, with the addition of some liquids.

If I want, let's say, orange juice, then I'll use my juicer. If I want a peach and banana smoothie, then I'll use my blender.

At the end of the day, it's up to you which one you prefer to use, as your personal tastes will dictate which one you choose.

Blenders, though, are better for all-round use.
