What is the best, simplest platform game creator *besides* Game Maker?
I want to make a platform game, but Game Maker doesn't run properly on my computer. I've checked the graphics requirements and it meets them, it just doesn't work. I want to make a retro-style Super Mario game, I'd prefer something simple and easy to use but I also care about game quality. What platform game creator should I use?
I'm running Windows XP in parallel on a fast iMac, by the way.
