How to know when crock pot roast is done?
I cooked my roast in the crockpot for 10 hours, but when I looked at it, it was very tender, fell apart, but still looked a little pink! Is it done? How do I tell? I'm scared to eat it when there is a little pink.
Hi Aries Moon, I am fairly sure that your meat will be done in the time that you gave it. Especially as you say it was tender and fell apart both good signs that it is ready to eat. The meat will not colour the same as an oven roast because it has been immersed in liquid and will not colour as I said. If you have ever eaten a slice of salt beef you will remember that this would have looked pink (ish) in colour. I hope this helps,all the best. rab
