hellppppp cupcake frosting nightmare!!!!!=(?
last week i was trying to make some butter cream frosting and it was a total mess..i dont know what happened i think the sugar didnt mix properly with the butter..and when i added the food coloring it wasnt how so i descirble it smooth and all 1 color you could still see white bits of butter..the butter was at room tempreture..i dont have a stand mixer but a hand mixer it isnt the best but i think it could do the job well if i do it the proper way..can someone please tell me in details how to make the perfect buttercream frosting and what if i should put it on high speed when beating the butter..EVERYTHING!!!! i dont want a recipe with shortnening please just butter,sugar,milk n vanilla..a perfect creamy frosting great to pipe..id really appriciate it!!!!!!
I noticed you said sugar instead of powdered sugar. You did use powdered sugar , didn't you? Regular sugar won't work. The fact that they call powdered sugar icing sugar is very confusing. I grew up all my life & never heard of icing sugar until I got on here. So, I would not have known what to use. Things were fine with just plain old powdered sugar. Why on earth would there be a reason to change the name of it?
